Whoosh is in the school hall. Please ensure you sign your child in to care each morning and out of care each afternoon using the Whoosh iPads. These will be sanitized regularly.

Access to the school is via the gate on Mort St.

Each afternoon the children will meet our team under the school COLA.

You can mark your child absent on the OWNA app, or by SMS directly to the team.

Collecting your child

We collect the kindergarten children from their teacher. Children in years 1-6 will meet the team at the school hall.

Whoosh Care uses an electronic roll. We mark your child’s attendance or absence on OWNA.

When you collect your child, you will sign into OWNA using your unique pin code. The pin code can be modified on the OWNA app on your personal device.

Please only use your personal pin code to sign your child out to ensure that we maintain accurate records.

Only authorised persons are permitted to collect your child. We require written permission for another parent or friend to collect your child. Please provide the authorised persons phone number and email so that we can include them on OWNA.

It is important to let our team know if your child is not going to attend Whoosh Care on an enrolled day so that our team can verify their whereabouts promptly. Failure to do so will incur a $15.00 fee. Our team will remain at the school until they can verify your child’s location, so please ensure to let us know to avoid lengthy waits for the attending children.

We close at 6:00pm each afternoon. Families are required to collect their children prior to 6:00pm. Our team have travel arrangements, family commitments and study and other work commitments that are scheduled after their shift with Whoosh Care. It is important that families show support to our team by being on time. Failure to collect your child on time will incur a late fee of $20 per 15-minute interval. Multiple late arrivals may result in termination of your enrolment.

Whoosh Care behaviour management agreement

Children enrolled at Whoosh Care agree to follow the Whoosh Care Code of Behaviour. The code is in place to ensure that all children can enjoy their time at Whoosh Care and mirrors the school rules.

Parents/guardians are expected to show support to and work in partnership with the Whoosh Care educators regarding their child/ren’s behaviour.

If a child breaches our code they are firstly reminded of the rules, if the behaviour continues your child will be asked to sit down and reflect on their behaviour. For continual breaches or a serious breach of the code parents will be informed via our behaviour note form. Repeated breaches may result in Whoosh Care withdrawing your child’s enrolment. Any violence toward a team member or other child will result in a 2 enrolled day suspension from care.

Unacceptable behaviour from a parent/guardian may result in immediate termination of their child’s enrolment. Please remember that Whoosh is our workplace, we have a right to feel safe.
